San Mateo County authorities arrested two convicted felons early Sunday morning after they were allegedly caught with drugs and guns in their possession. The San Mateo County Sheriff's office said that just after midnight, its deputies were alerted to a loud party at a residence in the census-designated place of Montara where dozens of partygoers were reportedly disturbing neighbors. Upon arrival, a deputy identified a vehicle linked to a previously reported crime. Deputies then contacted two men associated with the vehicle. BART Regional Connector Project Begins Construction on Phase 2
SAN JOSE – Santa Clara VTA officials gathered to break ground on the Eastridge to BART Regional Connector Project on June 8th. In San Jose, the $652 million project will connect BART passengers from East San Jose’s Valley Transportation Authority light rail to BART’s trains in Milpitas, according to a report from KRON4. The light rail will extend from Alum Rock Light Station to Eastridge Transit Center. The extension will also include “an elevated light rail station at Story Road and an at-grade station located at the Eastridge Transit Center.” Officials have stated they expect construction to be completed in 2028.

Accessory dwelling units or ADUs are among the hottest real estate trends in California, providing a possible solution to the state's housing crisis. Novato Target retail theft suspects found with stolen merchandise from stores across Bay Area
Police in Novato arrested three people suspected of organized retail theft after allegedly finding them with merchandise taken from stores throughout the Bay Area, the department said Monday. On Friday evening, a Novato officer responded to the report of a possible theft in progress at a Target store in the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center. Three people were seen fleeing the store, but were apprehended by police. Arrested were a 34-year-old man from Eureka, A 33-year-old man from Mountain View, and a 46-year-old woman from Eureka. A search of the suspects' vehicle allegedly uncovered "significant" amounts of stolen property from stores in the North and East Bays. "Thousands of dollars" worth of merchandise was returned to their respective retail stores. Investigators believe that the trio had been stealing items to sell online. Police also allege they found narcotics and drug paraphernalia. All three were booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of felony organized retail theft with intent to sell, possession of fentanyl and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Law enforcement in Los Altos recently leveraged technology to capture a suspect accused of vehicle theft and other charges. According to the City of Los Altos Police Department, an automated license plate reader identified a stolen vehicle near Fallen Leaf Ln. and Homestead Rd. on June 9th. Police officers converged on the spot, finding the car parked outside Ace Hardware within the Foothill Crossings Shopping Center.
